- In the Properties dialog, when you press Close, any changes are not applied (ie, Close really means Cancel). I thought the standard for Windows was that there would be Apply, Cancel, Close -- Apply applies the changes without leaving the dialog, and Close applies the changes and then exits the dialog.
- There is no way to apply properties changes to multiple files. It would be nice to be able to recursively apply a properties change to all files in a folder, or even to select multiple files and then Properties, and the Properties dialog would have the standard Windows behavior wherein the dialog would grey-out any properties which differed between the files, and would show normally those properties which all the files had in common.
- There is no way to view or modify file properties from the command-line client, so I can't script these kinds of changes.
- When exiting Properties, the property changes are committed immediately, rather than being placed into Pending Changes, as is done for every other change to a file.

Those are good suggestions. I have logged feature request 15260 for that functionality.
