Hi,
We are having some issues with cache folders out of sync. We are two people working on the same computer and when I get the latest version of a file, my partner gets it too (physically), but his client cache does not get updated. The Vault client lists this file as old in his session, but as current in mine.
We tried to hook up both Vault accounts to the same cache folder unsuccessfully. Is this possible?
Thanks in advance.
Two users, same working directory, same cache??

Re: Two users, same working directory, same cache??
Vault was not designed for users to use the same working folder. It's not possible to line up the caches.
We have some users who have a "development server," because it can run all the code in it's final form. One possible way to deal with this is to code on your own machine, then check in, and have a shadow folder point to the development server. What happens then is the changes are then automatically copied to the development server. If you can't do a check in, then I'd recommend putting a client on the development server, code on your own machine, but then shelve the changes. The client on the development server can unshelve the changes.
If my explanation doesn't fit your scenario, then feel free to give me more details on why you have your users sharing a working folder and maybe I'll have some suggestions.
