Add current label column to default view

Post by aswilbourn » Thu Jan 21, 2010 6:48 am

Hi!

Is there anyway to add a column which displays the current label to the default view of Vault for clients. At the moment the default view displays the following columns:

File
Check Outs
Local Version
Remote Version
Status

The reason I ask is that Vault labels each revision in whole numbers as in revision 1, revison 2, revision 3 etc. We would like to be able to use differnet versioning numbers such as 1.0.1 , 1.0.2, 1.1.0, 2.0.0 etc dependant on whether it is a major or minor release. As I cannot find a way to change the way the revisioning numbering works the only alternative I can see is to label each revision with our own internal revison numbers. This is why I would like to know if a label column can displayed on the deafult view so we don't have to open up the labels section on a file to see what revison we are currently on.

Thanks for any help
Andy

This feature doesn't exist in the current version. We have a feature request logged for this functionality, number 9767. I'll add your comments and bump it up in priority. Thanks for your feedback.
