Client Connection Fault - Vault 4.1.4

Post by ewrankin » Wed Jan 20, 2010 7:19 am

I have one user that upon using the vault client today continually gets the following error:

The Vault server could not be contacted to perform the operation. Your network connection to the server may have been interrupted. Please verify your network settings using the Options dialog under the Tools menu in the Vault GUI Client. The underlying connection was closed: A connection that was expected to be kept alive was closed by the server.Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host

The server does not show any errors, only the client side (see the attached logs I have sniped the server side for the particular user - the times are different do to timezone differences). They have a nice continual ping to the vault server with no drops, and they have been using it for some time without any issues. It's all of a sudden it started happening. Nothing has changed on the users PC and network on their PC is working as well since we were using Net Meeting to troubleshoot the issue.

Any assistance or advice would be appreciated, to further troubleshoot the issue would be great.

Can the user access Vault through the web client? Have them go to http://<your Vault server>/vaultservice/vaultweb. Can they log in and browse code? Can they click on a file version number and download a version of a file from the web client or view details?

At what point of working in the Vault client does the user get the error?
