Weird problem, Unexpected exclamation marks show up

This is kind of freaky!
I get the latest version from OffSite version 4.0 on my Win2000 machine and in some files exclamation mark, !, shows up in the files on my machine and I am unable to compile my .NET 7.1 project.

e.g.

int a = 10 ; !

In the database the exclamation mark is not there.
This has happened many times.

Anybody has a clue what the heck is going on...

Are you doing a get with the SOS GUI client or the integrated client?

By any chance, are you using an AT&T cable modem or a
LinkSys router?
