IDE hangs when trying to connect to SCC

I am using the Vault Client ( and Server ) version 5.0.1

When I try to add a project to SCC thought the IDE ( IAR Embedded Workbench version 4.41 ) the IDE hangs and is closed down by windows.

The same happens if I try to open a project that has already been connected the Vault though another PC.

I have the client installed on 3 PCs and the problem is present on 2 of those but not the third PC. On this third PC everything works perfectly.

We wish we could help, but we've never tested Vault with IAR Embedded Workbench and don't support it. IAR Embedded Workbench probably uses Microsoft's MSSCCI integration, and that's available with the Vault Classic Client, but integration isn't the same across all IDE's. The sequence of calls might be different, for example. Integration might work; it might not. That's why we only support the IDE's we've tested with Vault.

You could try checking configuration, registry settings, etc. to see what's different on the machine were integration works and where it doesn't. Another option is to continue development in IAR Embedded Workbench, but do source control operations with the Vault GUI Client, rather than the integrated client.
