install vault client 4 fails on windows 7

Hello,

I have just started using windows 7 (32bit) and now i am running into trouble installing vault client.
My company is using vault sever 4, so i tried to install VaultClient_4_1_4_18402. The installer fails however with error message\
"The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2738".

Is this a known issue? I couldn't find anything on it in this forum. And more importantly, is there a workaround, or will we need to upgrade to Vault 5?

Even though Vault 4 wasn't supported on Windows 7, some users have managed to install it there.

The error you received usually indicates that you just need to pull down the client again. You could try pulling the client from your server by going to http://<your Vault server>/vaultservice. Scroll down the page until you see a link to get the client installer. The Vault 4.1.4 installer call also be pulled from our downloads area for previous versions of Vault. If one way of getting the client gives you and error then try the other way.

Another thing you can try is running the installer as administrator.
