We are currently experiencing quite a few problems with Subversion and are considering moving to another source control system. We have years of history in SVN and don't want to loose that. Is there a way to import from Subversion into Vault?
Thanks,
Mike

Re: Importing from Subversion
We don't have a Subversion import, though we do have feature request 13606 logged for this. What you could do is add your code to Vault, plus do a Get of the most used labels and add them as separate nodes. Then keep the Subversion system for historic reference. You'll probably need it less and less as time goes by.
I'll add your "vote" to the feature request -- we do have a number of customers who are coming to Vault from Subversion.

Re: Importing from Subversion
Thanks for your quick reply. We did just what you suggested when we moved from VSS to Subversion. However, we never really used the old VSS repository for history because we couldn't reasonably check it against our current revision. It would be difficult to repeat that situation. However, if we continue having our current SVN issues we may reconsider.
Thank you for adding my vote for the SVN import. Hopefully you will get enough people who need the feature to be worth implementing.
