We frequently can recreate an issue where one of the developers tries to Get Latest Version from any tree (folder, project, solution) from within Visual Studio 2008 and the latest versions of the files are not actually retrieved. They then find themselves doing a build with old files or missing files.
From within VS2008 it looks like everything is good, but if you go view the same folders/files through the Fortress client you can see that the latest versions were not actually retrieved. And newly added files are not retrieved either.
We use VS2008, Fortress 1.1.4, the developers all have the enhanced client istalled and they either have Vista or Windows 7 as their OS.
Thank you,
Lynn

Re: Get Latest Version is not Working
If you can recreate this, we'd like to see your client and server logs that correspond to the the problem.
To enable client-side logging for the client or in Visual Studio, see this KB article
http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=1534
Enable debug server logging in the Admin Web Client under Server Settings->Logging->Log Level.
Reproduce the problem, then send the logs zipped up to support at sourcegear.com, Attn: Linda. Please include a link to this forum post.
Let me know what time in the logs corresponds to the time of the errors.
