Browser 'Back' button behaviour

Post by cs » Mon Sep 14, 2009 2:41 am

Since upgrading to v2, the browser Back button does not work as before.

The button takes you to the previous page in Fortress, but does not then allow you to go further back into Fortress page view history.

Behaviour seen in IE8 and IE7.

There are some changes in browsing behavior in Fortress, due to the new Ajax controls. Is there a particular sequence of pages that doesn't work when you try to go back?

Sample steps:

1) Close all browsers
2) Open Fortress web client
3) Click on first project in the list (Back button is available)
4) Click on first item in the list (Back button is available)
5) Click Back

Back button is now not available.

There may be other combinations.

We haven't been able to reproduce this. What is the default page when you open Fortress Item Tracking? Is it the Recent Items page. After you click on the project is the item you're clicking a bug in the list of bugs?

Some screenshots might help. If you wish, you can zip them up and send them to support at sourcegear.com, Attn: Linda. Please include a link to this forum post.
