When we attempt to create a profile, we click 'Edit Profiles'. Enter a 'New' profile name, enter new username/password/vault server name and when we click the 'Get Repository List' button, it says, "Unable to connect to the Vault Server". But if we enter the admin user's username/password and click the button, it retrieves the Repository list.
how do we add a new "username/password" to have access to a repository ?

Re: Creating a Profile
What version of Vault are you using?
Does the user have access to any of the repositories on the server -- can the user log in without a profile?

Re: Creating a Profile
No...the "user" does not have access to any of the repositories. We can't even add a user. This is the issue.
Re: Creating a Profile
The user must first be added to the Vault database by using the Vault Admin Web Client, in the Users section. The profile is a shortcut for the user to login without having to enter all the connection information, but the user/login is not created in the profile.

Re: Creating a Profile
Thank you so much for the reminder about the "Vault admin web client". Once my admin heard that, he remembered everything and now, all is well.
Problem solved.
Thanks again !
