how to change Temp path used by Import tool

Post by jstarbird » Tue Sep 01, 2009 11:38 am

I'm trying out the Import tool, this is Vault Version 5, and when it gets to importing labels it uses the users Temp folder under Documents and Settings resulting in my drive running out of space.
Where is the setting for this so that I can force it to use another drive?

Thanks,
J

I should have noted, I'm referring to the Temp folder setting on the VSS machine not the Vault Server. So where I'm running the Import utility.

One possibility is to change your Environment variable %temp% so that it points to a different area.

I will see if there's another possibility and post back.

Beth,
thanks for the reply. I can do that for my test but I'm reluctant to need to do that when we do go live since that is the setting for everything under that username.

Thanks,
J

Sorry, I'm not finding any other way to do that currently.
