unchecking out a file that is already checked out
We had an employee that recently left and his machine was rebuilt, but he had file checked out and I thought it would work like in VSS, where if I go in as the admin account I should be able to undo their checkout. Either I am doing something wrong, or there is a different way of doing this, because I can not seem to undo the checkout.
Re: unchecking out a file that is already checked out
You can force an undo checkout from the Vault admin web page if you are on version 4 or higher. If you're on an older version, let me know.
What you will do on the admin web page is expand the repository on the left so that you see the menu, and click on the Undo Check Out link. See the attached screenshot. On the right, all the check outs will appear and you can force and undo on any of those items.
