I am unable to unshelve or view details of a shelf set (from the Find Shelveset dialog) from withing VS 2005. either operation yields:
"Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
Works perfectly from the Vault Windows client.
Vault client is version 5.0.0.18701
Vault server is version 5.0.0.18701
SourceGear Vault Visual Studio Enhanced Client 5.0.0.18701
Microsoft Visual Studio 2005

Re: Shelving error in VS 2005 client
I'll look closer, but this thread appears to be that shelving doesn't work at all. My case is that it works in the Vault Windows client, but not in the Visual Studio 2005 Advanced Client. Wouldn't think the server would treat them differently.

We've seen that bug here, and will have a fix in 5.0.1. If you want a prerelease build, please email support at sourcegear.com ATTN: jeremy with a link to this thread.

Re: Shelving error in VS 2005 client
I also had the bug, so I unshelved using the client instead of Visual Studio 2005. This worked... except that my open copy of VS 2005 then refused to show the file as checked out. Instead when I hovered my mouse over the file it informed me - kind of excitingly - that my file was 'renegade'. Worried that my file had turned its back on its erstwhile comrades, and was, perhaps, going to run amok in an apostate frenzy, I closed down Studio.

Thanks for that very entertaining bug report.
If you need a build of the VS.Net client which behaves correctly, email support at sourcegear.com ATTN: jeremy with a link to this thread.
