Vault 4.1 & 5 keys

Contacted the support email with no joy so posting here.
We have developers already using Vault 4.1, want to purchase another licence but unsure if we can purchase and use version 5 downgraded (i.e will V5 key work in V4.1?)

Seems silly to purchase 4.1 (same price on site) then pay upgrade price when developers move to V5.

Vault 5.0 licenses are compatible with a 4.1 installation.
