SourceOffSite 4.1 Sync Issues

Post by Dutt » Tue Jul 28, 2009 1:05 am

Hi,

I am using SourceOffSite 4.1 to connect to VSS Server.

sometimes SourceOffSite is not refreshing the version of some files.

ex: Latest version of File1 is 10 chcked in by VSS client. Sourceoffsite shows version 9 as latest though tree has been re-freshed.

so when we use Show Differences it compares local copy with version 9 rather comparing with version 10 as it is latest.

Query1: any hotfix for SourceOffSite 4.1 to resolve this issue?
Query2: is this issue still there in SourceOffSite version 6?

Thanks,
Dutt

Try the function Refresh File List. That should update your file.

You may wish to consider upgrading to SOS 4.2 so that you have all the latest fixes.

Thanks for the reply.

yes, refresh tree is not working.

so, do we have any hotfix for 4.1 for free?

Thanks,

SOS 4.2 would be a free upgrade for you, but really, it sounds like something else is going on. This isn't typical behavior and it will need troubleshooting. You can feel free to upgrade to SOS 4.2 though.

Can you tell me which version of the VSS automation component you have? Instructions for finding that information are found here: How to determine the version of the VSS automation component.

What happens if you perform a Get Latest on that file?
