We've started getting this error in the last couple of days: "You have more active users than valid licenses. User accounts are disabled until the "admin" user deactivates some users."
We added a new license probably around the time this started happening a couple of days ago (so we now have 12 users, and all those users are active). I tried restarting the IIS service as suggested in another post, but that hasn't sorted out the issue. This has happened on a couple of different machines on the network - the vault client always seems happy enough to open, but the IDE plugin for Visual Studio doesn't seem to want to play games...
Any thoughts?
Matt

Which version of Vault are you using?
Just to make sure I understand the description, you can get into and work in the client just fine, but the error comes up when you try using the IDE integration with Visual Studio?

4.1.3.xxx (all the tech details are in in the first post of this thread - http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=12135)
I managed to sort it by editing the SCC (this was manifesting itself in VB6), and the issue appeared to be that we have changed Vault Servers as well recently (and the SCC file was pointing to the old Vault server). The strange thing about this was that it was working fine with the old vault server name in the SCC file (and redirecting itself correclty to the new Vault server) up until we added the extra user.
Either way, I know what is happening now, and editing the SCC files to point to the new Vault server seems to sort out the problem (ands eventually all the older projects will point ot the right server as we get around to rebuilding them).
Thanks
Matt

Thanks for the update.
For future users, when switching servers one should unbind and rebind their solutions to the new server. After the first person rebinds and checks in the changes, other users can perform a fresh Open From Source Control.
