Unable to retrieve by label

Hello,

I am trying to retrieve a project, recursively, by label and I am getting "Invalid file version" error.
I am able to perform that without problems using VSS.
Also, from the SOS client I can retrieve individual files but not the whole project tree.
Here are some more details:
SOS version: 4.1.2
VSS version: 6.0 build 8163
SSAPI.DLL: 6.0.81.69

Any recommendation what should be done so I can retrieve projects by label?

This is a fairly old version of the SourceSafe automation component.

I would recommned using this version which you can download from our website. Just replace the contents of your VSS\Win32 directory on the SOS Server machine with the contents of the archive.

Also, upgrade client and server to SOS 4.2. It may or may not help to upgrade, but it's better for us to troubleshoot the latest version.

Running Analyze on the VSS database is a good idea, too.
