Annoying Issues

We downloaded vault about 3 weeks ago and are still in trial period, however at this moment am not a big fan of this software. It is causing us many headaches.

Here are some issues we are facing:

1. A random times we cannot connect to the server. Most times this is fine, but randomly we cant connect which becomes annoying at times. We are sure there is no issue with our network.

2. Sometimes when we check in code, it updates the shadow folder right away. however at other times it takes hours for this to happen, which becomes vey annoying when in a hurry to upload changes to a live server. Is this meant to happen right away?

3. When we do a 'get latest release' it copies most files, however we find sometimes random images dont come accross. for example, on a new pc, we set the working folder in our vault client, and then did a latest release. We then discovered, in our images folder, about 80% of the images came across, where the other 20% simply didnt. What is the go here, is a 'get latest release' meant to copy all files accross? I was thinking it may not copy images accross because its not source code, but why does it copy some and not all?

1) Could you look in your Vault Server Log for what is being logged at the point you lose your connection? It could be some sort of recycling in IIS. Could you post those errors or attach the log here (you will be able to delete it later) or email it to support (attn: Beth) with a link to this forum thread?

2) How much code is being checked in? How many shadow folders are set? What is the time from one file change being checked in to the point where it is replicated out to the server?

3) Are you using the Vault GUI client for the Get Latest or are you going through the IDE integration with Visual Studio, or are you integrated with some other program?
