"Your source control plug-in caused an exception or reported a fatal error."
I am getting this error when doing get latest on web project in visual studio 2005. I have searched the forum and found several cases of this error, but am still not sure how to fix it. I just tried to delete the directory and open from source control and am getting the same error as well as:
"Unexpected error encountered. It is recommended that you restart the application as soon as possible."
I have SOS 4.2.

Re: source control plug-in caused exception reported fatal error
found a solution... I deleted my "C:\Documents and Settings\[user]\Application Data\SourceGear" directory, opened SOS, set working folder (working folders are stored somewhere in application data in case someone needs to reset these as I did), opened VS2005, opened from source control and did not receive any errors
