Query related to Vault trial version installation.

Post by Hemangi » Tue Jun 16, 2009 5:12 am

Hi,

we are planning to use Vault 4 in our organization. I have downloaded trial version for the same and while installation I came to know that it supports 64 bit OS and we have 32 bit OS
so, Can I get a trial version of VAULT 4 which supports 32 bit OS.

I also tried to use public database (Repository database) and Vault client.
I have created user/password for Public server but not able to connect to server through Vault client.
it is giving me an error "Unable to connect to http://tipton.sourcegear.com/VaultService. No server was found at the specified URL. Please verify your network settings using the Options dialog under the Tools menu in the Vault GUI Client. Web Exception: The proxy name could not be resolved: 'tipton.sourcegear.com' "

Expecting reply from your end as early as possible.

Thanks & Regards,

The Vault Server is supported on 64-bit and 32-bit operating systems. There is a different installer for each on our downloads page:
http://www.sourcegear.com/vault/downloads.html

The the client installer is for on both 32-bit or 64-bit operating systems.

Regarding the proxy error: are you using a proxy? Look in your IE settings to see if a proxy is configured there. This would be under Internet Options->Connections->Lan Settings.
