Word Document Compares

Post by wbird » Wed Jun 10, 2009 7:33 am

How do I compare two .doc MSWword documents?
I keep getting an error message that says "File has a NUL byte at offset 8: this is not valid for 'default encoding".
Thanks,

DiffMerge doesn't support binary documents, such as MS Word files. The latest version of DiffMerge should be able to tell you if the files are identical or different, but cannot do a side-by-side diff.

DiffMerge is a tool for comparing text files, such as source code.

There should be an application that could compare a two document if they are the same or not. You might just have it to test your documents.
