SOS 4 command line client problem

Post by sridharr » Mon Jul 12, 2004 8:23 am

Hi,

I recently upgraded SOS client from 3.5 to 4.0.2. :D
SOS 4 command line client throws application error some times.

Why is that so? Any suggestion to get out of this problem??

Thanks in advance.

Sridhar.

Is this reproducible? Does it happen on a certain command? If so, what command are you running? (Note: use XXX for passwords and server name if you post the command here).

Is there anything in the SOS log.txt file in the SOS Server directory that corresponds to the time of the application error?

If you use the GUI client for the same operation, are there any problems or errors?

Also -- what version of the SOS Server are you using?

Sridhar: The exception occurs at random. But it occurs often. Please see attachment. Here's the command.

soscmd -command GetProject -server xxxx:8888 -name userid
-password xxx -database \\xxx\vss_database$\srcsafe.ini -project $/folder/folder/src -workdir Y:\folder\folder\src -recursive -verbose

No.

No errors.

SOS Server version 4.0

Sridhar: I found SOSCommand line client much slower than windows client. Why is that so?

Thanks in advance.
