Flex Builder 3 (Vault Login Error)

Post by matt.newell » Thu May 28, 2009 1:17 pm

I just installed the Vault plugin for Flex Builder 3 and when I try to share a project I get this error during the login process.

SourceGear Vault Error
An unknown error occurred during the login process. Please check the Eclipse error log for exceptions

I have attached the error log. Also I have checked to make sure my login does work. I can use the web interface without problems.

I don't see a log currently. Can you try attaching it again?

Just so you know, upgrading to Vault 4.1.4 would be a free upgrade for you. You might want to consider doing that so that you have all the latest fixes and additions.

I didn't realize the .log extension was blocked so I renamed it.

Thanks for the info on the upgrade but I'm not ready to try that just yet. We have 5 other .Net programmers that use the Vault daily.

Is that the version for your server or your plugin? (You can check what plugin version is installed from Eclipse Help->About Eclipse SDK->Feature Details)

What version of Eclipse are you running?

I don't think you can mix and match the plug-in to a different server version. The Vault 4.1.4 client can't connect to a 4.0.6 Vault server, so I would expect the same result of the plug-ins. Try the 4.0.6 plug-in or upgrade your server and client.

Plugin Version 4.1.4.18429 is all I can find on your site. I tried to uninstall it and then refresh the remote upgrade site but it comes back with no new updates.

So I tried to download it manually and the only version available is 4.1.4.18429 so I guess I will have to upgrade the server?

Thanks Beth this did fix my connection issue. Now I am getting

"Could not create repository folder $/TrayPrinterSite/TrayPrinter due to Project 'TrayPrinter' contains linked URIs but the'com.sourcegear.vault.team.RepositoryProvider' repository provider does not supported them."

I'm not totally clear on what a linked URI is how to fix this. Would this be something fixed in 4.1.4?
