Windows Explorer Integration

Post by steve44266 » Thu Dec 27, 2007 10:29 am

First off, thanks for the great tool! The ability to quickly right click on files in Windows Explorer and launch DiffMerge is a very nice feature.

I've looked through the documentation and the menu items and can't figure out how to remove a file from the compare File with list.

A suggestion would be to add a "Delete from List" menu item to the "Add File to List" and "Compare File with" options that are presented when you right click a file name in Windows Explorer.

In the meantime, is there any way to clear the list?

Thanks!

sorry, there isn't a way to delete items from the list.
i'll log a bug/feature request for this.

if you ***really*** ***need*** to get rid of them you can
always hack the registry, but be careful. visit the key

HKCU\Software\SourceGear\SourceGear DiffMerge\ShellExtension

and delete the mru_file_* and mru_folder_* values.

hope this helps,

SourceGear DiffMerge 3.3.0 is now available and fixes this problem.

We now have a "clear list" item on the context menu.

Full details can be found at http://www.sourcegear.com/diffmerge/index.html.
