VS 2008 automatic checkout of files

I have a problem, when just wanting to view a form in my VB.NET winforms project Vault is automatically checking out the form and the project. this is causing major issues with in my team. we are currently using the SourceGear Vault Visual Studio 2005 Client for our plug in. is there a different plug in for Visual Studio 2008 that will fix this problem?

It sounds like you could be on Vault 4.0.x instead of Vault 4.1.4. Could you confirm for me what version of Vault you are on?

Yes we are using 4.0, I am planning an upgrade this evening. Will this fix this issue? It is terribly problematic.

I would expect it to be better. I checked multiple scenarios.

Make sure you read the Vault 4.1.4 release notes before upgrading, so you know what you expect.

This does not fix this issue. if I just want to look at a Windows Form file in my project it has to check out the form as well as the project. Is this something that can be looked into? Could this have something to do with the License file?

Could I have you post a screenshot? Also do you have VS set to use the Vault Classic Client or the Vault Enhanced Client?

Sorry for the delay I have been out of the office over the last couple of days. I am not sure what type of screenshot you are looking for, it automatically checks our both the file and the project file when I try to just view a form. We are using the Vault Enhanced Client.
