Bind Option Not Available
Hi All,
We are looking at Vault as a replacement for Tortise SVN and so far we are really excited by it. We have been able to add many of our projects/solutions to the repository and play around with the different options and seem to be leaning toward purchasing (right now we are on a trial). However, I am having trouble binding certain solutions to the repository once I have added them.
Example:
I right click a folder in the repository and select "Add Files/Folders" and select the folder that contains my solution file and project folders. I then open the solution and the bind button on the toolbar is disabled / grayed out. What am I doing wrong? How do I bind these solutions to vault?
Thanks in advance for any help!!

Re: Bind Option Not Available
Some additional info:
It seems to be working well for any VS2008 projects but having issue with some VS2005 solutions.

Re: Bind Option Not Available
Rather than adding items using the Vault GUI client, you should use Visual Studio to do the add. Open a solution in Visual Studio, then use the function Add to Vault or Add to Source Control. Give that a try and let me know how that works for you.

Re: Bind Option Not Available
Thanks for the prompt reply Beth!
I do not have that option available either. Since I had already added the project to the Vault repository, I first removed it. I then opened the solution and right clicked the solution in VS2005 but found no option to add to source control.
Attached is a screen shot of what I am seeing.

Re: Bind Option Not Available
Go to your VS Tools - Options - Source Control. What do you have set there?

Re: Bind Option Not Available
It was set to none. I have set it to Vault Enhanced Client and I am looking good.
Thanks for your prompt responses and help Beth!
