Installing Vault on a Windows 2008 Server 64bit.

I'm moving my Microsoft SQL Server 2005 databases to from a Windows 2003 Server 32 bit to a new Windows 2008 Server 64 bit. There was a posting in this forum that indicated that I needed to Restore a copy of my existing database on the new server and then run the Vault Server installation (file I have is VaultServer_4_0_6_15954.msi).

When I run this, I get a message: IIS 5.0 or greater is required to install the Vault Server. Please ensure it is installed and run this install again.

IIS is installed and running (Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services requires it).

Do I need to upgrade to a new version of Vault?

You might need to. I don't think Windows 2008 server was supported until recently. Vault 4.1.3 should be fine with it.

I've downloaded the Vault 4.1.3 files. Would you recommend that I upgrade from Vault 4.0.6 to 4.1.3 on my 32 bit server before backing up / restoring the database (sgvault and sgmaster) to the 64 bit server and installing Vault 4.1.3 64bit server or just move the 4.0.6 databases and install Vault 64 bit on the new server?

Get the database over to the new server, then download the 64-bit version of the Vault 4.1.3 installer and install it.
