Hi
We recently renamed a repository using the Vault Admin webpage.
All clients now see the new name in the repository selection window and everything works OK.
However, the title in the Vault client application title bar still shows the OLD repository name once you connect to it.
any help would be appreciated as this is causing confusion,
cheers
pete

Re: Vault Client shows wrong Repository Name in Title Bar
This is a known issue, logged as bug 9785 in our Fortress workitem database.
If you connect to a repository in the Vault GUI client and then later rename the repository, the Vault GUI client still shows the "old" name in the title bar because the cached information does not get updated.
To fix this, shut down all Vault clients and remove the client side cache files - CacheMember_Repository and CacheMember_LastStructureGetTime found in the Documents and Settings-><Userprofile>\Local Settings\SourceGear\Vault_1\Client\{GUID}\{user}\ folder. This will reset the client side cache tree's name.

Re: Vault Client shows wrong Repository Name in Title Bar
ive tried doing this on my client, but does this need doing on EVERY vault client thats actively connected?
having done this on my own client then it does not resolve the issue.

Re: Vault Client shows wrong Repository Name in Title Bar
Do you have multiple repositories? If so, there is a chance you removed the cache members from the wrong one. Can you send an email to support at sourcegear.com with a link to this thread and I can help you more closely with this?
Also, each client would need to do the same thing since the cache is a client-side folder.

Re: Vault Client shows wrong Repository Name in Title Bar
following a restart of my client (and also the server) all is well now.
I dont know if it needed a server restart, but anyway since that happened its all looking good.
thanks for the help.

Thanks for the update. The server caches information, so closing the client deleting the cache and restarting IIS, then restarting the client can help.
