Vault and CLC incompatibility versions

I am using Vault version 4.0.6.15954 and want to get files via command line. I DLed the CLC but am getting the error:

The server uses a protocol that is not supported by this client. ---> System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: 1021 : FailServiceVersionNotSupported

I tried to download an older version of the CLC, but did not see one for 4.0.6…any suggestions??? Thanks.

I tried CLC versions 4.1.2 and 4.1

Our normal command line client is installed with the client (in c:\program files\sourcegear\Vault Client). The zip file distrbutions in 4.1 are java CLCs more suited for linux and mac users.

oh great...that worked...sorry, but i have been working in VSS the last couple of years and am new to vault. The google searches kept pointing to CLC - thats why i went that way in the first place.
