Visual C++ 4.x

We are migrating towards Vault (2.0.3) and were wondering how Vault supports the VC 4.x environment.
One of our developers created a small VC 4.x project and noticed the following:
- IDE does not prompt for checking out files.

How is Vault support under VC4.x?

VC6 is the oldest version we support. I seriously doubt VC4 would work with Vault at all. In fact, you may be the first person ever to even try it.
