First background:
I am unsure of the original version of Vault my company used. I ended up upconverting it to 3.5.3.
Now, I am trying to install the new version of the software (4.1.3). However, I get an error. It says: "Vault Setup is exiting due to a failure or cancellation. Error Code = -1280". I tried updating our original version to 4.1.3 as well, but it had the same result.
Any help?

First, do you have a database backup of your Vault 3.5.3 database? If so, go to your SQL server and remove the current sgvault and sgmaster databases and restore the original Vault 3.5.3 database. Usually, after on install, the sgmaster gets forgotten about, and it can't be there already when moving from a 3.x version to a 4.x version.
After that is done, then run Vault 4.1.3. Once it fails, go to %username%\local settings\temp and look for a file called Vault _install.log. That is going to tell us exactly what has happened. You can either post that log here or send it to me in an email using the link to the right or send to support at sourcegear.com.
