Entering a label with a long comment

Hi,

We recently entered a long comment for a label on a folder. It seemed to get truncated to about 970 characters.

Is there a limit on how long a label comment can be?

If not, is there any way to retrieve the full comment from the database, so that we can re-enter it in a more concise form?

Perform a View History at the level that you checked in or placed the comment. Make sure you select the option to Include Any Comments on the Comment tab. Then double click the item that has the comment you want to edit. There will then be an Edit Comment button on the next window.

I tried this. In the History Explorer window, double clicking on an action brings up a Version Details dialog as you mention for actions such as 'Checked In', but not for 'Labeled'.

Any more ideas?

To change the comment on a label, select the node in the GUI client, and choose the View->Show Labels menu item. Select the label and choose Edit Comment...

The max length for a label comment is 1024 characters.
