Problem when trying to checkout an exclusively locked file

Hello,

We have a problem when trying to checkout a file which is exclusively locked by another person. Vault Client (as well as the command line tool) correctly reports that it is impossible to checkout the file by that reason but the local file becomes writable.

This is quite inconvenient for us. Is it possible to avoid this?
