Show Differences Only

When I compare two txt files using Diffmerge 3.2.0 the "Show Differences Only" button is greyed out. How do I activate this button?

I need to see only the differences.

I have searched the software settings, the manual, the FAQ and the Forum and have upgraded to 3.2.0, but I cannot find an answer.

I am sure the answer must be very simple.

The various diff-only and diff-with-context modes are available
in the Reference View but not in the Edit View. Click on the tab
at the bottom of the window and then you can change modes.
