Detect New Files to Add Question

I am using the standalone client app. Is there a way to automatically have new files show up in the Pending Change Set grid?

Under the Files menu is a Detect New Files to Add. That will give you a list of things that could be added.

I know that is can be done manually, but if people forget to do it, it breaks the build. I would like them to show up automatically in the pending changes panel. Is this possible?

No, it's not possible currently. I can add a feature request if you want.

One other thing you could try is you could have your users set Vault to show non-version controlled files as ghosted files. It still doesn't automatically add them, but the users will see the grayed out files and folders right in their tree so they know they have to add them yet.
