Object reference not set to an instance of an object

I try to explain my problem:

I have a repository with the Folder Security enabled.

I have 64 users actived and 37 disabled.

I create a folder and set all users having access to it, when I share this folder in another folder and when I remove the first folder, all users cannot refresh the tree (with the message in subject).

When I go to security window, I need change the rights and users can work fine after.

Regards
Adelino

We run as client against someone else who controls the master copy. Any clues or settings I can give you?

Still no access

Post by alanevery » Tue Jun 22, 2004 2:44 am

Am running version client 2.0.3 (2174)

Following happens:

1. Start up client, server connection box displayed.
2. Server connects, then Choose Repository is displayed
3. Repository structure is pulled from server and message box stating 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object' displayed
4. Selecting Refresh on the file structure throws the same error

Am able to do simple things such as view history etc., but not able to do useful things such as check out in etc.

Any ideas or thoughts of what to look at. I've had someone trace through the logfile on the server while performing these actions, but it appeared to show nothing of use.

Alan,

One sure way to correct this error is to delete your client side cache files. See :
