Permanently checked out

Post by veezilla » Sun Aug 10, 2008 5:37 pm

Hello,

I am running Vault Client Version 4.0.6.15954 on 32-bit Windows XP Professional SP3.

I checked out a folder last week. I needed to reboot after installing a few Windows updates. I left the files checked out and rebooted.

When I logged back into Vault the files were still checked out under my username however they were not appearing under the Pending Change Set list.

When I right click on the offending files "Check In" is greyed out. Clicking undo check-out does not fix it.

I can re-check out the files out but it gives me a prompt window saying "You alredy have the following files checked out to other locations. Continue?".

I didn't change PC's. I didn't log into Vault from another machine. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Regards,
Victor

You can undo the checkout from the Vault Admin Web client. This is under Source Code Repositories->Repository name->Undo checkout.

I got hold of the guy who looks after Vault and asked him to look on the web client. He said he see's nothing checked out by me.

But from my end it still looks like I have this checked out. I have been checking out the files anyway by clicking Yes to "You alredy have the following files checked out to other locations. Continue?", making my changes and checking back in. It seems to be working fine. So I guess it's only the UI that displaying wrongly?

Edit: btw, thanks for your quick reply :)

It's possible the client side cache is out of sync.

I'd suggest deleting CacheMember_CheckOutList
