Login failed after Vault database migration

I migrated the Valut database from SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2005 Express. To do this I detached the database, uninstalled SQL Server 2000 and installed SQL Server 2005 Express; attached the Vault database, installed Vault Server 4.0.4; when prompted I chose to connect to SQL Server with windows authentication, selected a password for admin, and chose to use the existing database when this was detected by the installer.

After successfully completing all of the above I tried logging into Vault through the admin web client but receive a

Login Failed: The username or password supplied is invalid.

message.

The Vault server log contains the following:

# SourceGear Vault Server
----01/08/2008 11:13:29 admin--Paolo.AGILITY.COM(192.168.180.254)--SSL Disabled Login failed: FailNotValidLogin

Any suggestions on how to resolve this would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Is the SQL server on the same machine or a different machine than where you installed Vault?
What did you choose for an IIS process model?
How large is your vault database?

The SQL Server 2005 Express with the Vault database and the Vault server are on the same machine.

IIS process model is machine ([machine name]\ASPNET)

Vault database size is 213,568 KB.

Vault 4.x had two databases, sgmaster and sgvault.

Did you migrate both of them?
