This is a pretty minor problem but I thought I would report it anyway!
I am in the process of setting up a Squid proxy server on our lan. It is set up to autheniticate against our windows active directory so expects clients to log on before it will let them through. The fortress client works fine for source control actions, but when it starts up the version check fails because of an authenitcation failure (according to the Squid log).
Explicitly telling fortress to bypass the proxy has no effect either, the version check still fails. It looks as though at start up fortress is ignoring it's own settings and using the default proxy.
I am using client and server version 1.1.2.18185.
Thanks

Re: Fortress Client Proxy handling
Thanks for the report. We'll look into this.
In the meantime, if the failed version checks are getting annoying, you can turn them off in the Fortress GUI Client under Tools->Options->General->Check for Latest version at startup.
