I am having a problem getting my e-mail up and running. I have an SMTP service set up with forwarding to another mail server. It works when used with other .net 2.0 applications that we have written, but the settings just aren't working right here.
SMTP Server: localhost
SMTP Port: 25
SMTP Auth User:
SMTP Password:
FromAddress: fortress@mydomain.com
Server URL: http://mydomain.com
when doing mail from our internal apps a password is not required. mydomain.com is a replacement for our real domain name, and it is registered and open to the web.
I tried turning on the logging to degug and the logs have no errors. No e-mails are being sent out.

Try entering a full username and password anyway into the configuration screen. The server URL will be your Fortress server. If that was correct, then try entering it as http://mydomain.com/Fortress
