Browser query button is very slow to open the query page

If I press the query button in the fortress web based browser interface, it takes more than 30 seconds to open the query page, which then lets me build a query.
However, if I select from my saved queries, a result is instant.
My connection to the fortress server is across our LAN, and is typically very fast. It is just opening the query page (NOT making a query) which is terribly slow.
Is there anything I can do to make it faster?

What kind of database sizes do you have? Just check the size for the sgvault.mdf, sgmaster.mdf, and sgdragnet.mdf.

I compared it to mine since we use Fortress here, and mine takes about 4.5 seconds. We're on the latest here though and I use Firefox. It's faster on IE on my machine.

Does everyone in your environment get the same results?
Are you using an internal IP or machine name to connect or only an external IP or path?

Also, how many tags do you have in the project?

sgvault.mdf = 43,333,760 Kbytes
sgmaster.mdf = 2,240 Kbytes
sgdragnet.mdf = 160,384 Kbytes

I am using firefox, but IE is about the same speed.
Yes, everyone inthe office has the same speed issue. We are on an internal IP (a direct link to the gogabyte switch) It even happens in IE on the console of the server. It is not a network issue. Other pages come up just fine (e.g. the login screen, my open, recent items, summaries.

It is the opening the query page which is a killer. (not making a query, just opening the page)

we do not use tags, as we have no idea what they are for.
