We are using Vault 4.1.1 (18060). I have one user who cannot undo the checkout of two different files, instead receiving the following error:
A database error has occured (FailDBFault)
FailDBFault on undo check out

Re: FailDBFault on undo check out
The problem is that I checked out a file as this user (tester, in this case) on a different machine. AND THEN that machine was renamed to something else, so Vault thinks I have the file checked out under the old machine name. I tried to go undo the checkout and it won't let me.
I can't use the Admin tool because it--annoyingly--requires that I undo the checkouts of EVERYONE.

If the checkout location is no longer available, then I think your only recourse is to undo the checkout with the Admin Client. Let the other users know -- their locally modified files will become Renegade, but when they check them out again they'll be Edited.

This is a fine short-term solution, but it's by no means a preferred one. I can't undo EVERYONE's checkout of a file. I need to be able to undo the checkout of a single user's file. Why can't the admin tool be changed to allow this?lbauer wrote:If the checkout location is no longer available, then I think your only recourse is to undo the checkout with the Admin Client.
