Visual Studio 2008 solution folder problem

Post by dannyboy78 » Wed Jun 11, 2008 10:56 am

Hi all

I have just installed Vault 4.1.2 today to evaluate it. I have set everything up ok and set visual studio to use the enhanced client. I also have a solution that contains 11 projects all contained within 9 different solution folders. When I go to add the solution to Vault it displays all the projects in the solution in a root folder with the name of the solution but then it seems for every solution folder in the solution Vault creates a folder with the same name as the solution and then creates a folder for every project in there. So in effect I have a root folder with 11 project folders in there, and then 9 other folders with the same name as the root folder each with 11 project folders in.

Something doesn't quite seem right

If anybody can help with this it would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
Dan

This is a known bug, but it's just the display. When you actually go to add the solution, the layout is what you'd expect.

Thanks for that.

I don't know if it will help at all, but I narrowed it down in my instance to having some projects in a different location. If I moved those projects into the same location as the rest of my projects and then readded them to the solution and then added the solution to vault it was all ok.

Thanks
Dan
