Set NOT require exlusive locks at a project level

Post by rmcginnis » Tue Jun 03, 2008 2:08 pm

We are using Version 4.1.1.18060 of the Vault Admin tool and I cannot see a way to set a project to NOT require exclusive locks.

Is this not possible?

That is set at a repository level. Click on a repository on the admin web page and in the right pane you will see a check box for requiring exclusive locks. Just have that unchecked. If a user is still seeing it required, then they either have it set as their client request to always request exclusive locks, or they are checking out an unmergeable file. Some files it's not recommended to have as mergeable.

There's more relevant information in this FAQ.

EDIT: (And this one, since you're talking specifically about project files.)
