Project Setup: Can't find this interface in the Admin Tab

Post by zolondek » Mon Jun 02, 2008 8:52 am

I'm currently evaulating SourceGear Vault. So far, everything works great.

However, as I'm learning how Security works, I can't seem to find the interface for setting up Projects and related access. I've been able to successfully set up Users, Groups, and Repositories without any issues.

But I would like to be able to set up Projects. Is this a feature not available during evaluation or can someone point me to the Project interface?

If you're referring to software projects, these are added using Visual Studio or the Vault GUI Client.

Open your project in Visual Studio, right click on the solution file and select Add to Vault.

Adding a project or projects in Vault creates the Vault folder tree . When you have folders in the repository, then set folder security in the Admin Client.

This setting is in the Admin Web Client under Source Control Repositories-><Repository Name>. Check the box for Enable Folder Security. To set folder security, look in Source Control Repositories->(Repository name)->Folder Security.

For more info about source control integration with the VS Enhanced Client, see this:
