Can't diff when merging branches

I'm currently using the Vault 4.1.1 server and client. We have our system up much like an SVN system would be setup. When I go merge branches with each other, after I have selected the origin and destination, in the window where it lets you select the versions you want to merge, when I double click on one of those and then right click on one of the changes in that list and push diff, nothing happens. Then if I cancel out of everything, Vault hangs and I can't do anything. I have to kill the process. Is there a work around or a fix for this?

I'm trying to get this recreated.

How large is the file that you're diff'ing? What type is it?
