Feature Request: Remember Repository in VS .NET

Post by Guest » Tue Jun 08, 2004 11:47 am

I have a VS .NET solution that I work on regularly, and the source control is set with Vault.

Every time I open the solution in VS .NET I am prompted to select a repository.

This does not make sense, because why would I change from the original repository? VS .NET solutions cannot be so easily switched. My other repositories contain completely different folder structures, and most of them have nothing to do with VS .NET.

Feature Request: VS .NET should remember the Vault repository that the current solution is under. Visual SourceSafe remembers, and Vault should too.

You can have it connect automatically if you create a login profile, and choose to have that profile automatically connect to the repository. When we added profiles, some IDE API calling sequence issues arose that prevented us from automatically connecting without a profile.
