VS.Net 2005 takes minimum of 20 mins to load the solution when integrated with source offsite.

But when working with source offsite client, it is quite fast.

In Visual Studio, when you first open the solution, is the "Pending Checkins" pane visible?

I was afraid of that. How many files are in your Solution?

When the Pending Checkins pane is showing, Visual Studio has to go through and update the status of each file so that it knows how to populate that tab.

The more files there are, the longer it will take.

Yes lots of files

Whats happening is Pending checkin shows Updating 500 file(s)..process. and it keeps reducing by 10. This takes a lots of time, especially through VPN.

Is there any alternative to integrate and load the solution rather than waiting for 20 minutes to open.

This is very critical

Cheers

Hmmm... this is really a Visual Studio option, that we don't control. You could try closing the Pending Checkins pane, but I'm not sure what impact that would have on how you work.
