Does SoS support .NET 3.5? When I try to add a project using vs2008 it gives an error:
"Error parsing <path>/database4.sos"
After that I can't get into the VSS database anymore via SoS.

We haven't tested SourceOffSite with VS 2008 or the .NET 3.5 Framework.
What happens if you close any open SOS Clients on your machine and delete the database4.sos file? This file is the client-side cache. It will be recreated the next time you log in. You may need to reset your working directories.

I was able to reproduce this problem with the SOS Client cache when using VS 2008. We'll have our developer take a look at why this is happening.

Hello, delmore.
Can you please tell us what OS you're using and what version of IIS? Also, what kind of project were you using, when you experienced this problem?

I am using XP Pro SP2. I converted the project from .NET 2.0 (VS2005) to .NET 3.5 (VS2008). The project is a Web Application.

To be honest, I haven't been able to reproduce this.
However, we're currently performing a thorough examination of SOS and the new releases of Visual Studio 2008 and .Net 3.5.

It seems to happen randomly. I removed the project that was having problems and re-added it. It seems to work OK now. I had the same problem with another but that seems to be working now also.
